Annette is another ambassador that has been with us from the very beginning. We were introduced to Annette through our mutual friend, Darrell Henry. They were going to run our inaugural race with us, but Darrell began having complications with cancer. Unfortunately, Darrell passed away last year, but his final wish was to run on the trails with Annette, and she was able to carry his ashes during Trail Trashed in March. In addition to being an amazing ultrarunner, Annette served as a jet mechanic in the Air Force for four years, one of the first women in her career field! We are honored to "officially" have you as a member of the Triple Dare Family! Here is what Annette has to say:
"This is one of my favorite running pics because I finally made it to the top of Peavine! I felt badass and strong! Thank you for making me a Triple Dare Ambassador! I love this company and you guys!
I love running and making new challenges for myself because it makes me always want to be better! If I finish a race or not I have found is irrelevant. It is in the trying that I find myself and new strengths! I love to encourage new runners to try the trails too! Trails are my passion! Volunteering is so important as well and we should all give back to our running family in some way! I am also a skirt sport ambassador and can get discounts for triple dare women and girls!"
