Hi Everyone, my name is Heather Baker! I’ve lived in Las Vegas for about 45 years, and I grew up sailing and racing Hobie Cats with my dad. I’ve been trail running for a little over ten years, and as recently as 3 years ago, began ultra running. My first ultra was Monument Valley 50k. After that, I was hooked! Since then, I’ve run distances ranging from 5kms all the way up to, most recently, a 48-hour race, where I completed 100 miles. Currently on this year’s calendar are the following races: Ragnar Zion, Sawmill 35-mile, Stagecoach 55k, and Javelina Jundred 100k. I’ll also be crewing and pacing a friend at Bear 100.
With the craziness of everyday life, trail running allows me to leave it all behind and find a sense of calm and peace, returning a more relaxed person. It has also allowed me to find out what I’m truly made of when the going gets tough. I feel overall, this has made me much stronger and more centered.
I am so grateful and honored to be chosen as a Triple Dare Ambassador this season, and I can’t wait to share my love of running with others! The Triple Dare team is one of the most welcoming and generous groups of people I’ve had the pleasure to know, and I am so excited to become a part of the Triple Dare family!
