Night of Fire is an add-on to the original trail race in Red Rock National Conservation Area, Flight of Fire. A half marathon,10K, and 5K on the breathtaking trails of Red Rock NCA! You won’t find better views or more amazing scenery than that of Red Rock Canyon.  This event is limited to 200 participants, so register early, as it is sure to sell out.

Red Rock Canyon encompasses 195,819 acres within the Mojave Desert. You can see a maze of canyons, ledges, peaks, chimneys, gullies, and chutes. While you are running, you will encounter the bright vibrant reds and oranges of the massive tangled rock formations as well as spring flowers around every corner.  There is aslo a ton of various wildlife in Red Rock Canyon! You might come across The Western Fence Lizards, Chorus Frogs, White-Crowed Sparrows, Cooper's Hawks, Red Racers, Mule deer, Red spotted Toads, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Gray foxs, Burros, Sagebrush lizards, Chukars, Spotted Towhees and more! 


Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area has one developed campground. Opened in 1998 to replace the Old Oak Creek Campground, formerly known as the 13-Mile Campground. The Red Rock Canyon Campground is located two miles east of the visitor center on W. Charleston Blvd (State Route 159), one mile south on Moenkopi Road from the junction with W. Starting at the Visitors’ Center, the course will travel clockwise to the Moenkopi Loop, the Grand Circle Loop, and the White Rock-Willow Springs Trail, then to the White Rock dirt road, back to the Grand Circle Loop, on to the Calico Hills Trail, and finally back to the Moenkopi Loop, finishing back at the visitor center. This course is a technical trail race and trail shoes with gaiters are recommended.

The 10K and 5K runners will be on the Moenkopi Loop. The 5K and 10K will start and finish at the visitor center.



Participants will be required to remain on the trails and within the course boundaries so as to not disturb the natural surroundings. Runners need be conscious of the terrain and exercise care in foot placement.

All runners must review and acknowledge receipt of the Bureau of Land Management Threatened Desert Tortoise Information.




Four aid stations will be located along the course.  Aid stations will supply water, electrolytes,  gels, and salt tablets.  Vehicular and spectator access is available at all aid stations.

Volunteers are an essential element of any race, but especially for trail races. We have some of the best volunteers and we are always looking for some more.

Every runner will earn a very unique medal at the end of the race.



Awards will be presented for the top men and women finishers in each race and for overall winners that complete all three races when times are averaged.

Distribution and depth of age group awards is dependent upon the number of participants and is subject to change.



Every runner will receive an amazing shirt, one you will proudly wear to brag to all your friends after you have conquered this beast.



All participants MUST park and ride the shuttle to the Start/Finish area. There will be no parking at Red Rock Canyon visitor center.
